About Dr. Kornberg

Michael Kornberg, M.D. is a graduate of The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Kornberg completed his internship and residency in General Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore in Bronx, New York.  He returned to San Diego to complete his training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UCSD/Rady Children’s Hospital.  Dr. Kornberg is board certified in child and adolescent, as well as adult psychiatry.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Kornberg graduated from U.C. San Diego (Phi Beta Kappa) with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Program of Concentration in Music.  While completing post-baccalaureate premedical coursework at U.C. San Diego, he worked with children diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders and their families.

Dr. Kornberg has a special interest in helping people.  He believes that it is essential to treat the person with a disease rather than the disease itself.  He enjoys working with people of all ages, and takes pleasure in the rewards and privileges derived from being able to help others.
